'Sea Power'
KR Stadium
Hull, UK

Commissioned by Hull Kingston Rovers we painted 'Seapower' in early February during a bitterly cold week. Unsurprisingly to most we fell in love with the maritime heritage of the city. The economy of Hull was built on trading and seafaring, firstly whaling and later seafishing. Although the fishing industry declined in the 1970s, the city remains a busy port, handling 13 million tonnes of cargo per year! East Hull is not only home to the Rovers but its home to the ports and docks where most of its inhabitants live & work, so it was extremely important for us to represent these elements within the mural.
